Amy Minteer received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan in December of 2001. She took the California Bar in July 2002 and was admitted in December 2002. During law school, Amy worked as a law clerk for the Lake Michigan Federation, where she helped educate the public on issues of environmental health and fought to strengthen discharge permit standards. Amy also participated in the environmental law clinic and interned with the National Wildlife Federation. There she worked extensively on matters concerning the environmental effects of concentrated animal feeding operations. Amy was Vice President of the Environmental Law Society at the University of Michigan where she helped connect law students with community based environmental groups for volunteer opportunities. She received an undergraduate degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from the University of Illinois, and brings a valuable technical and scientific background to the firm. Amy has written articles and lectured on environmental law and historic preservation. She was also lead counsel for the successful petitioner in Center for Biological Diversity v. Fish & Game Comm. (2008) 166 Cal.App.4th 597.
