Historical & Cultural Resource

Chatten-Brown & Carstens has frequently represented clients interested in preserving historic and cultural resources. The firm has protected these resources under CEQA, NEPA, the National Historic Preservation Act, and local historic preservation laws and regulations. The firm has worked with historic preservation organizations to obtain listing of historic and cultural resources on federal, state, and local registries. The firm is regular counsel for the Palm Springs Modern Committee and has represented many other preservation advocates including: California Preservation Foundation, Los Angeles Conservancy, Pasadena Heritage, Long Beach Heritage, the National Organization of Minority Architects, 20th Century Architecture Alliance, Uphold Our Heritage, Save Tara, San Marino Heritage, the Griffith Park Trust, Hollywood Heritage, Committee to Save the Hollywoodland Specific Plan, Friends of the Town and Country Center and Maritime Shoshone, Inc..
